Cancellation policy

At Global Disrupt Records, we move fast to get your music delivered. Please review our policies regarding order changes, cancellations, and our specific handling procedures for vinyl enthusiasts.

1. Order Cancellations

  • Standard Items: Cancellation requests must be submitted within 2 hours of purchase. Once an order has entered the "Processing" or "Shipped" stage, we are unable to cancel it.

  • Pre-Orders: You may cancel a pre-order any time up until 7 days before the official release date. After this window, the stock has been allocated and secured for your shipment.

  • Fees: Please note that payment processor fees (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal) are non-refundable and may be deducted from your total refund amount.

2. "Unsealed/Opened" Shipping Requests

We understand that many collectors prefer their records to be unsealed and shipped outside of the jacket/sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit. We are happy to provide this service upon request; however, please be aware of the following:

  • Final Sale on Custom Handling: Once a staff member unseals a record at your request, the item is no longer in "Mint/Sealed" condition. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any items that have been unsealed or opened at the customer's request.

  • Condition Acknowledgment: By requesting that your record be opened, you waive the right to return the item for minor cosmetic sleeve variations or "change of mind."

3. Damaged or Defective Items

  • If a record arrives with a significant manufacturing defect (e.g., a deep gouge that causes skipping), please contact us at hello@globaldisrupt.com within 48 hours of delivery with video/audio proof.

  • For unsealed shipping requests, we are only responsible for damage that occurs during the unsealing process by our staff, not for pre-existing factory pressing defects or minor surface noise common to the medium.

4. International Orders

For our global community, please note that Global Disrupt Records is not responsible for any VAT, import duties, or local taxes. If a package is returned to us because of unpaid customs fees or an incorrect address, a 20% restocking fee will apply, and original shipping costs will not be refunded.
