Мир (MIR, pronounced "Mihr," meaning peace) formed in 1984 in Roanoke, Virginia -- a sleepy valley town tucked into the Blue Ridge mountain region of Southwest Virginia -- when four teenagers came together to create scorching USHC in the same orbit as Corrosion of Conformity, Scream, Battalion of Saints and Death Piggy. They played hard, played fast, and were gone by the summer of 1985 before most members left for college. But not before entering the studio to record the twelve cuts that made up the Mindecision cassette -- raw, urgent hardcore punk executed by small-town high school kids at full tilt.
Beach Impediment's vinyl reissue has been remastered from the original reels by Chris Corry. Each copy comes in a jacket featuring the original cover art by drummer Lawson Jaeger, with a 12" x 24" insert packed with live photos, flyers and ephemera, plus liner notes by guitarist Spencer Edmunds.
