AMON AMARTH: Once Sent From The Golden Hall Vinyl LP

Amon Amarth's debut -- rawer, faster, and less polished than the band's later arena-ready output, but unmistakably them from the first riff.

Once Sent from the Golden Hall (1998) introduces the band's viking-themed melodic death metal in its earliest form, leaning harder into the death metal side of the equation before the band's sound expanded toward the more anthemic territory of later albums. A solid entry point for understanding where the band came from.
