GOVERNMENT ISSUE: Complete Session Vinyl LP

The complete story of one of D.C. hardcore's most furious recording sessions.
In November 1982, Government Issue entered Inner Ear Studio with Ian MacKaye producing and tracked 20 songs in a single day. Only the newest material made the original Boycott Stabb EP — the outtakes sat unmixed and unreleased for nearly three decades. In 2010, MacKaye remixed the entire session and Dischord released it in full on one LP. Side A is the original Boycott Stabb material; Side B is the previously buried outtakes, including five tracks never before released. Raw, short, and relentless — this is early D.C. hardcore at its most unfiltered, with John Stabb's confrontational bark up front and Tom Lyle's guitar doing maximum damage in minimum time.
