Ov Power was originally circulated as a vinyl bootleg in 1985 in an edition of 500 copies, capturing Genesis P-Orridge, Alex Fergusson, John Gosling, and Paul Reeson at their most industrial. Where much of Psychic TV's early catalogue pushed toward accessible pop and psychedelia, this recording strips back to something closer to Throbbing Gristle territory -- tape manipulation, abrasive textures, and ceremonial intent. Fully remastered and expanded by Cold Spring in 2012 with additional material, it's the definitive version of a release that was never meant to be widely heard. Essential for anyone serious about the TOPY era and the band's esoteric practice.
