About this release
Step into the birth of doom metal with Saint Vitus's self-titled debut album! Originally released as an EP but often presented as an LP, this 1984 record is a vital, raw document of the band's monolithic, slow, and crushing sound. Before the speed metal craze took over, tracks like "White Magic/Black Magic" and "The Psychopath" delivered massive, feedback-drenched riffs and heavy, deliberate tempos that defined the entire doom genre. This essential piece of metal history is required listening for anyone who appreciates darkness and density in their music! Track List:
