V/A: Dischord Flex Your Head XXX Vinyl LP

The definitive document of DC hardcore's first wave -- Dischord's landmark compilation, now celebrating thirty years.

Flex Your Head (originally 1982) gathers the earliest recordings from the Dischord roster at the peak of the DC hardcore explosion -- Teen Idles, SOA (featuring a teenage Henry Rollins), Government Issue, Youth Brigade, and more -- capturing a scene that was tighter, faster, and more politically serious than almost anything happening on the coasts at the same time. This 30th anniversary edition (Flex Your Head XXX) brings the essential collection back into print with the full weight of its legacy intact. Essential listening for anyone tracing the roots of American hardcore and the entire DIY punk movement that followed.
