As If: Punk Magic and the Art of Self-Invention

This book shares what it calls the "As-If" technique, a skill to lean on for people looking to bring creativity into or back into their lives. In the form of an essay, author Clint Marsh demonstrates the magic to be found in this technique that's been notably used by punk music makers, and other independent artists. It could help provide the drive needed to take on a creative endeavor of any size—whether it's a single piece of art or as a means to reshape life. An essay in a zine, the author encourages the reader to take the leap into creativity and change life and art if they so wish.
