Comments / Notes: Revolution Girl Style Now is the absolute foundation of the Riot Grrrl movement. Originally self-released in 1991 as an independently distributed demo cassette, these raw recordings introduced the world to Bikini Kill's uncompromising feminist politics and visceral punk rock energy. Raw, lo-fi, and seething with righteous anger, tracks like "Feels Blind" and "Suck My Left One" established Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, Kathi Wilcox, and Billy Karren as a force that would permanently alter the musical landscape. This definitive vinyl reissue via the band's own label includes three previously unreleased tracks recorded during the original sessions ("Ocean Song," "Just Once," and "Playground"), mastered directly from the original tapes by John Golden. It is a vital historical document of underground punk.
