CRASS: Penis Envy Vinyl LP (180g)

Crass features exclusively female vocals by Joy De Vivre and Eve Libertine on this recording. Penis Envy is the band's third album, originally released in 1981 and re-released on August 30, 2019. The album utilizes complex musical arrangements addressing feminism, marriage, and sexual oppression, moving away from the hardcore sounds of previous albums. The release format is a 180g Vinyl LP. Distribution and legal history involve actions under the Obscene Publications Act, including seizures by the Greater Manchester Police from Eastern Bloc record shop, charges against Frank Schofield, and legal actions involving Flux Of Pink Indians, Crass' labels, and their publishing company.
