DEFTONES: Private Music Vinyl LP (Color)

Thirty years in and Deftones are still finding new rooms in the house.

private music (2025) is the Sacramento band's tenth album -- lean, focused, and critically acclaimed, with Metacritic calling it universal acclaim. Reuniting with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan), Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, and Frank Delgado are joined for the first time on record by bassist Fred Sablan. Recorded across Malibu, Joshua Tree, and Nashville, it's 11 songs that move between heavy and dreamlike with the ease of a band who has spent three decades learning exactly how the two fit together. My Mind Is a Mountain and Milk of the Madonna arrived as singles; Metal Dream pulls Moreno back toward the rap-inflected delivery of the early records without sounding like nostalgia. Grammy-nominated for Best Rock Album. Color vinyl pressing.
