Servants of Sorcery is the sole cult release from Fimbulwinter, a short-lived but highly influential project from the early days of the Norwegian "second wave." Led by a young Shagrath (later of Dimmu Borgir) alongside Skoll (Ulver, Arcturus), the album is a raw, primitive assault that leans heavily into the 80s spirit of Celtic Frost while maintaining the lo-fi grimness of early 90s Oslo. This 2023 Peaceville Reissue on limited White Color Vinyl is the first official, comprehensive edition of the material. It features a gatefold sleeve, a 12" booklet with rare archival photos, two double-sided posters, and bonus tracks sourced from the band's personal tapes.
