Fugazi Saved My Life: How Punk Made Me Less of an Asshole

Sometimes all it takes is one band, even just one show, to alter the course of your life. This zine follows the author's tale of hitchhiking to the basement of a small Canadian university in 1993 to see legendary punk band Fugazi play at the height of their powers. Journalist Colin Burrowes retraces that basement show track by track, diving deep into Fugazi's potent lyrics, explosive live performance, and political philosophy. At the same time, he offers his own reflections on healthcare, Palestinian rights, incarceration, policing, and more, revealing how that six dollar concert had lasting impact on his life ever since. Get inspired to act on your values, be your own instrument, and even be a little less of an asshole with the help of this zine.
