In the summer of 1982, some new blood arrived in Richmond's burgeoning hardcore scene: Graven Image, youngsters who met at a local skate ramp and channeled their aggression into no-bullshit hardcore punk. Having shared stages throughout the Mid-Atlantic with Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Necros, C.O.C., Void, and The Fu's, the band's explosive live performances fronted by the powerful and charismatic Dwayne Curd proved they could hold their own alongside the titans of the genre.

Studio Sessions: '82-'83 collects the entirety of Graven Image's recorded studio output, carefully transferred and restored from the original reels. Comes with a 12-page booklet featuring photos and flyers, plus liner notes from guitarist Nick Smilek and drummer Joey Boisineau.
