IDLES: Ultra Mono Vinyl LP

Sonically inspired by the punchy, direct production of hip-hop—with programming assists from Kenny Beats—the album is a dense, "bludgeoning" collection of protest anthems. From the explosive opening of "War" to the satirical bite of "Model Village," frontman Joe Talbot utilizes a mantra of "I am I" to explore themes of active presence, self-acceptance, and class struggle. This Vinyl LP pressing captures the band's "vicious post-punk formula" at its most concentrated and loud.
