About this release
| A Clockwork Orange-obsessed Austin street punk at its most dangerous and infectious. Originally released on CD in 1997 by GMM Records, Rather Be Hated Than Ignored served as Lower Class Brats' raucous statement of intent — combining 70s UK punk, UK82, and early California hardcore into a sound that's pure confrontation. Frontman Bones DeLarge delivers every line like a threat wrapped in a melody, from the anthemic "Ultra-Violence" to the snarling "Addicted To Oi!" This TKO Records reissue marks the first time the original track sequence has been available on vinyl. Expertly remastered, repackaged, and restored. A foundational entry in the American Street Punk canon. |
