MIDDLE CLASS: Out Of Vogue: The Early Material Vinyl LP

*Cover may vary.

Released in 1978, the Middle Class's four-song Out of Vogue EP is widely cited by music historians as the very first hardcore punk record. Clocking in at breakneck speeds, it pre-dated the debut releases from Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Minor Threat, laying the absolute structural blueprint for the aggressive sound that would define the entire 1980s American hardcore movement. This essential compilation from Frontier Records rescues that legendary 7" from obscurity, pairing it with their slightly more post-punk leaning 1980 Scavenged Luxury EP and a collection of incredibly rare, previously unreleased early studio demos. It is a vital, non-negotiable historical document for anyone studying the roots of West Coast punk rock, capturing a band operating years ahead of their time.
