NAPALM DEATH: Scum Vinyl LP

Scum is the undisputed Big Bang of grindcore. Released in 1987 on Earache Records, this album completely obliterated the boundaries of extreme music. Famously recorded in two distinct sessions with two different lineups, Side A features the punishing, crust-punk infused assault of Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) and Nic Bullen, while Side B introduces the guttural roar of Lee Dorrian (Cathedral) and the buzzsaw guitars of Bill Steer (Carcass). The only constant is drummer Mick Harris, who effectively invented the blast beat right here. Featuring the Guinness World Record-holding shortest song ever recorded (You Suffer), this album is a mandatory piece of extreme metal history. This Earache reissue uses the Full Dynamic Range (FDR) remastering technique, breathing massive, uncompressed life into the original tapes and pressing it on striking White Color Vinyl.
