St. Anger is the debut full-length studio album from Melbourne's own Private Function. Known for their chaotic live shows and irreverent humor, the band titled their debut after Metallica's notoriously divisive 2003 album. Musically, however, it is a high-octane blast of classic Aussie pub-punk, recorded live in a single weekend. The album became an instant cult classic, leading to numerous highly limited and creative vinyl pressings. Notable variants include the "Mustaine Mustard," "Ride The Whitening," and the 2025 reissue series featuring colors like "Purple People Eater" and "Goldeneye." Most copies include an A3 poster and capture the band’s raw, "still on top" energy.
