About this item
BARELY HUMAN: Dispatches From An Underground Music Anti-History (2014-2024) is a collection of essays and works that traces a "pseudo-lineage" of underground music over a ten-year period. The book, an expanded and re-edited version of the original zine series, explores the history of musicians who operated outside the mainstream, often facing rejection, misinterpretation, and legal challenges. It connects genres from dirty blues and proto-punk to contemporary DIY subcultures, highlighting artists who were misunderstood and left with only a cult following. The book, which is presented as an "anti-history," examines the efforts of these underground figures and provides context for contemporary contributors. Product Title Author |
