At the time, Medellín was the most violent city in the world -- drug cartels, corruption, oppression, and poverty defining daily life. This violence is directly reflected in the music that flourished there during this period: some of the most authentically violent, aggressive, noisy, raw, and abrasive HC/punk/metal to ever exist.
