V/A: Punk From Medellín, Colombia 1987-1992 Cassette
The third mixtape in Death Is Not The End's series with Philadelphia punk archivists World Gone Mad -- this time laser-focused on the late 1980s/early 90s punk and hardcore scene in Medellín, Colombia.
At the time, Medellín was the most violent city in the world -- drug cartels, corruption, oppression, and poverty defining daily life. This violence is directly reflected in the music that flourished there during this period: some of the most authentically violent, aggressive, noisy, raw, and abrasive HC/punk/metal to ever exist. This tape is a sonic snapshot of those times. Available exclusively on cassette.
